Dr. Gürcan Aslan, born in 1962 in Giresun, completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara at Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School and Ankara Science High School. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1986. Dr. Gürcan Aslan served mandatory service in Artvin-Yusufeli-Kılıçkaya between 1986-1987, and in 1992, he completed his specialization training in plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Ankara Numune Hospital. After short-term military service at GATA in 1993, he worked as a specialist physician in Erzurum between 1993-1996. He worked as a specialist physician at Ankara Numune Hospital between 1996-1998 and as an Assistant Chief of the Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic between 1998-2000. Dr. Gürcan Aslan became an associate professor in 2000 and worked as the Assistant Chief of the 2nd Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic at Ankara Training and Research Hospital from 2001 to 2016.
Associate Professor Dr. Gürcan Aslan, who consults for various scientific journals, has published and presented more than 200 scientific articles in domestic and international journals and scientific congresses, with over 1000 citations from these articles. Dr. Gürcan Aslan is a member of various associations, including the Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the Wound Care and Tissue Repair Society. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gürcan Aslan is the father of 2 children.
